Supporting Newcomers to Vancouver Island
New Afghans face a variety of cultural and societal challenges when trying to adapt to Canada, and in particular, to Vancouver Island. As such, volunteers of the organization provide advice to new Afghans on how to adapt to Canada, navigate housing, health, education, transit, and much more.
Helping Afghan Girls, Women, Orphans, and Displaced People in Afghanistan
Afghan women, girls, and children continue to be the victims of continuous war and crime. The organization is actively involved in fundraising activities to support Afghans in need in Afghanistan.
Supporting Organizations and Private Sponsors of Afghan Refugees
Afghanistan ranks in the top 3 countries where refugees originate from who continue their journey to international destinations. This does not include internally displaced families. ACSOVI guides local organizations and individuals with sponsorship application submission to Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.
